The Sunday Post #1: A Hard Week of Work

I decided to start writing posts on Sundays where I sum up my week, whether it's a boring week where I've been in the library revising, or whether I've been on an exciting adventure and can tell you the highlight of my week. I love reading posts like this, I feel like it gives you a great opportunity to get to know someone and not only that, but I think it'll be wonderful for me to look back in in years to come as a sort of diary. If I really don't have anything to tell you, I'm pretty sure this post will become a bit...miscellaneous.

This week has been a boring one, and I write it feeling hungover from the celebrations of last night. I've been waking up at 8:30 every day during the week, drinking one of my PhD Woman Meal Replacement Shakes and heading to the gym for an hour long workout. Following my workout I have been going to revise in my University's new study centre, or at least trying to revise. Is it just me or do you guys find that when you need to be concentrating it's impossible?!

I finally finished my exams on Saturday though, which was the best feeling after all the stress that I have put myself under for the past two months. I went out to celebrate which I am slightly regretting due to my now banging headache and stomach that feels as if I have been on a ship in the rockiest part of the sea for the past few hours. Nonetheless I am super excited to be able to start my summer and finally get back in to blogging regularly!

By the way, I am thinking of writing an updated gym routine and writing a post about these PhD Women Meal Replacement Shakes if anyone is interested?
What have you been up to this week?

MAC Whirl Lipstick

What is it with me and browny nudes at the moment?! I picked up MAC's Whirl Lipstick (which I am so happy they made permanent!) the other day, and oh my word, could it be any more beautiful? It's perfect to dull down a smokey eye look, or even to glam up a look, it is just such a versatile lip colour. I love that it isn't a drying matte lipstick as well, it's fairly comfortable to wear and doesn't settle in the dry patches on my lips. It is very similar to my all time favourite nude which is MAC Taupe, in the way that it is fairly dark for a nude and has very brown undertones. However, Whirl has a slightly rosey tone to it which makes me think it would be beautiful on slightly paler skin tones for that 'Kylie Jenner' look that everyone is lusting after.

Talking of Kylie Jenner, has anyone picked up one of her lip kits? I really want to order one but I don't want to pay the price of them plus the massive customs fee if they really aren't that amazing and if there is similar things on the market over in the UK. Please drop me a comment and let me know your views!

EX1 Invisiwear Foundation

I hadn't heard of EX1 as a brand until a couple of weeks ago when I was perusing through Youtube and came across someone (I think it was Jaclyn Hill...what a babe) talking about this foundation. It was designed specifically for asian skin types, as I can admit that finding the right yellow undertone foundation is incredibly hard with tanned skin! This foundation has the perfect mix of yellow and pink undertones and therefore blends into the skin amazingly.

It only comes in 5 shades, I picked up F300, and just for a little guidance I am C5 in MAC Face and Body. The foundation claims to adapt to your skin tone to create a flawless base, which I cannot say it does, but it definitely is a perfect match for me. It feels very lightweight on the skin which is perfect as no one wants that mask feeling on their face all day! The coverage I'd say is medium, but definitely buildable with a little patience.
The only downside with this foundation is I feel it won't last too long, as I have only used it four or five times and i'd say nearly 1/6 of the bottle is used already! However, for £12.50 I really cannot fault this foundation and I think it is my new favourite Drugstore foundation!

Have you guys tried anything else from EX1 Cosmetics?
