The Best Ice Cream!

This week I spent Monday to Wednesday staying in Brighton just taking some time out with my family. We spent most of the days eating and sitting on the beach - nothing too fancy, but we did visit my favourite Ice Cream Shop and I realised it was just too good not to share with you guys!

Boho Gelato is a small independant parlour situated in a small side street called Pool Valley, which isn't the most pleasant looking, or smelling street in Brighton but trust me this is a pick not to miss! It is a very small little shop with only enough seating space for 8 people, but if the weather is nice you can always take away and sit on the beach.

Firstly, can we just appreciate how cute the pots are?! Anyway, there are 24 flavours to choose from, most of which change daily (crazy I know). It took me a good five minutes to decide which two flavours I wanted, but I chose the Violet and Custard Cream Biscuit flavours which were just divine. The flavours aren't too sickly and I just love that there is something for everyone. The Mojito and Cucumber & Rose flavours were very tempting I won't lie...

At approximately £2.40 for one scoop its not exactly the cheapest ice cream parlour but it truly is worth it and the portions are very generous. I do recommend getting two scoops so you can try different flavours though!
Oh, they also make Ice Cream Cakes which you can get personally made from £25...I know where I will be requesting my next birthday cake from!

Do you have any favourite picks in Brighton?

Soft, Straight, Silky Hair

We all want hair like what we see in the L'oreal adverts, but realistically our hair will never look like that. Recently I bleached and dyed the ends of my hair turquoise and blue, so the ends are incredibly dry and brittle. I thought it was near enough impossible to get a shine on my hair now, however it isn't! I have found a good combination of products that work well to help me achieve softer and silkier hair.

The first is just to use a good moisture replenishing hair mask. The one I have been using is the Pantene 2 Minute Deep Repair Masque which was on reduced in Boots. To be honest I just tend to pick up the cheapest moisturising mask because they all do wonders for my hair. I leave it on for about 3 minutes before I rinse, just to give it time to soak in and do the job.

Once I have towel dried my hair I spritz it with some heat protectant spray just to stop my hair getting any more damaged, and also some Pantene Overnight Nourishing Spray. I also apply two pumps of the Bed Head Ego Boost Split End Mender which makes my ends much softer.

Most days I blast my hair with my hair dryer for about a minute and then give up and just let it dry naturally, which is much better for your hair anyway. To straighten my hair I use my GHD IV Straighteners, and then I spray the mid-lengths to ends with my new holy grail hair product, the Batiste Dry Conditioner. After spraying I brush it through just to work it into the hair and even it out. Trust me, it makes my hair feel so incredibly soft and I was mind blown the first time I used it. Et voila!

Thats pretty much it, but trust me these products make such a difference to my hair when I straighten it and I feel like I've just stepped out of the hair dressers!

Barry M Gelly: Newest Editions

Anyone who has read my blog before will know that the Barry M Gelly polishes are just my all time favourites, even compared to my more high end polishes. Recently they released some new shades and I picked up three, all of which I absolutely adore! The three shades I picked up were Coconut, Elderberry and Damson, and I think my favourite is probably Elderberry.

Elderberry is a very grey toned blue and its one of those shades that can just be worn all year round. As with all the polishes the formula is super thick and glossy and you only need two coats. Please excuse the messy painting, this colour was on my right hand and obviously I am right handed so...its the messy hand.

Damson is a pretty bright cobalt blue that is very different to any other polish that I own. I actually only needed one coat of this really, but two would probably be better if you want it to last as long as possible. Again with this colour I think it would work well in the warmer months and also the colder months as its not too season specific.

Lastly Coconut, which I have to show you on my toes (apologies to people with foot phobias) as I ran out of hands to paint. I had to paint from a broken bottle as the bottle just randomly broke where the lid should be screwed on, and it spilt all over my bed sheets which was not okay. I don't know if it was the heat or something but I wasn't impressed. Anyway, its a very pale off white/cream colour that I adore(d) (before I had to bin it). Again it took two coats but it went very glossy.

There are a few more colours that I really want to try out from the new collection such as Olive which has had very mixed reviews. They're all £3.99 which is such a bargain! Have you got a favourite from the new colours?

August Wish List

How amazing do these look?! I just love liquid lipsticks and they still aren't a very huge trend in the beauty industry, so I am super excited to try these. Every single colour looks so gorgeous and I kind of want to try the purple, even though its the most out there colour of them all.

I actually had S&G on my Duty Free Wishlist but it was sold out when I passed through Gatwick so its still on this months wishlist! I have not heard one bad thing about this gorgeous highlighter and I don't really have a large selection of highlighters (in fact I only have 2) so it would be lovely to add this to my collection.

To be honest, Whirl is not too far off my natural lip colour, its just a tiny bit darker and has a very slight mauve tint to it. Of course this is on my wishlist because of Kylie Jenner, I just think she pulls off the 90's nude so well and I really want to grab this lip pencil, when its not sold out!

I'm pretty sure that this has been on my monthly wishlist, mentally, every single month. I swatch all the colours every time I go into Boots and the shadows just feel so buttery and they're really pigmented. The selection is so vast and theres a huge choice of day colours as well as night time colours.

I always play it safe with my brow products and I haven't tried anything new on my brows for over a year. The Sleek Brow Kit has always been my "go to" product, as well as my MUA Eyeshadow in Shade 19. The Brow Archery duo looks like such a nifty product that would for sure speed up my brow routine. I've always wanted to try a felt-tip eyebrow product as well, so this is definitely needed in my makeup collection.

What's on your wishlist this month?

YSL Rouge Pur Couture 62

Bargain alert! I was in Debenhams and saw half price goodies at the YSL counter...of course I could not resist. I picked up this Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in 62 which is a gorgeous deep wine colour and reminds me a little of MAC Odyssey.

The packaging is probably my all time favourite for a lipstick, it just looks so sheek and sophisticated with the gold. It also looks super expensive!

One swipe across the lips leaves a very pigmented colour and the formula is super creamy. I found that the colour slightly stained my lips as well which was great for a longer lasting lip colour. I reckon this colour will be my A/W favourite for 14/15 and will look gorgeous with perfected skin and loads of mascara.

The full price for this is £25 but I swiped it for £12.50!
