3 of the Best at Home Workouts

Working out at home over the past few months has been a challenge, and I know that a lot of regular gym go-ers felt the same. At home workouts just aren't quite the same as escaping to the gym and lifting weights, practicing your deadlift technique, trying out all sorts of exercises on the cable machine and smashing your leg press PB.Despite the gyms being back open, I know that I'm not alone in feeling uncomfortable heading back there with COVID still being bad, so at home workouts are still very much a thing for me. Chances are, if you've been working out at home for the past 6 months, you're probably pretty bored of your routine so I thought I would share my three favourite sources for at-home workouts. I've got a recommendation for full body challenges, HIIT workouts, and even one for yoga too. Let me know if you try any out!

London vs Brighton - Choosing Where to Rent

For those of you who don't follow me on my social media, last month I moved to Brighton with my boyfriend. I've always wanted to live in Brighton, having chosen it as my 'staycation' destination more times than I can count, and visiting the beautiful coast here frequently when I was younger.

But, deciding between London & Brighton was a tough choice for me as I work in London and my family all live there, but my love for the coast and all the foodie choices in Brighton was something I couldn't ignore. Lots of people seem to be in a similar predicament to myself when it comes to deciding between London & Brighton, so that's where this blog post came from. I'll outline everything that influenced our decision to choose the coast over the capital.

The Best Places To Shop For Gym Wear

We don't all want the same thing when it comes to gym wear. Some of us prefer things so high waisted there's only 2cm of skin on show between your leggings and your bra, whereas some prefer a traditional low rise (who are you?! How do you cope without your bum crack coming out after every burpee - please enlighten me?!). Let me outline my gym wear preferences with you, and if you have the same preferences, then you'll probably agree that these are some of the best places to shop for your gym wear.

When shopping for my leggings, I prefer a super high waisted fit with a chunky waistband that will hold my pooch in and keep the leggings up (there's nothing worse than constantly pulling up your leggings during a workout). They are pretty much my only necessities when it comes to the bottom half - oh, and of course that they are squat proof, but who doesn't have that as a requirement?! I'm pretty easy going when it comes to sports bras but they must have padding. So, if you're a high waisted gym leggings girl who's not too fussy when it comes to the top half, then this post is for you...

Huda Beauty Sapphire Obsessions Palette Review

Ironically, this palette is called Sapphire Obsessions and let me tell you, I am obsessed.

Huda Beauty has been knocking around since 2013 and this is the first product I've picked up from her line. I'm always seeing her palettes on Instagram being used by some of my favourite influencers, but with the bigger ones priced around the £50 mark, I thought that trying out a smaller and more affordable one first would be best.

The Sapphire Obsessions palette consists of just 9 shades, 5 duo-chrome shimmers and 4 creamy matte shadows. I was a little shocked when this palette arrived and I saw just how small it is, especially considering its RRP is £25. It's very small, just a little larger than the size of my palm. If you wanted a bigger palette with good quality shadows, I would recommend opting for a Morphe palette rather than one of these. Saying that, the shadows in this are definitely of a high quality, and the price of course reflects this. The palette also has a good sized mirror in the top, making it perfect for on the go and travelling.
