July Favourites 2015

It's that time again to share with you what I have been loving throughout the past month. I haven't really been wearing much in the way of makeup this month, so there aren't many new beauty finds this month, sorry!

1) Kiko Water Eyeshadow 205
This is the most pigmented eyeshadow I have bought in a while, and it is one which you can use wet or dry which I love, as I am a huge fan of using eyeshadows wet as the colour payoff is just ten times better. This shadow blends beautifully, and I tend to use it to create a beautiful brown smokey eye, which is appropriate for wear during the day or the evening. There are so many other stunning colours in the Water Eyeshadow collection so I am tempted to buy some more!

2) GOSH Lip Liner in Nougat Crisp
I bought this after watching Lilly Melrose's videos where she mentioned how much she loved Nougat Crisp. In general I am a massive fan of the GOSH Lip Liners, I think they are the best liners available from the Drugstore as they don't leave the lips feeling dry, and they do a wonderful job of keeping your lipstick on for longer. Nougat Crisp is just the perfect pinky-brown toned nude, which works lovely under my MAC Taupe Lipstick. If you are struggling to find a good nude lip liner if you have slightly darker skin, then I would definitely give this one a go.

3) MAC Face and Body C5
As I previously mentioned, I haven't really been wearing much makeup this month, in particular foundations. However, when the odd event has come up I have been reaching for MAC Face and Body, as it is the lightest and most comfortable on the skin out of all the foundations in my collection. It is easy to build up the coverage, however you will never get more than a medium coverage with this foundation. The finish is lovely as it leaves the skin looking fresh and hydrated, rather than matte and cakey which is the best look for the warm weather. Saying this, it is definitely not oily on the skin, and would be suitable for most skin types.

4) Barry M Gelly Greenberry
Am I the only person who is finding painting their nails such a chore recently?! I used to love sitting down and painting my nails but I just don't seem to find the time to do it any more. Therefore I have been reaching for the Barry M Gelly range again, as I find that they last the longest out of all the polishes I own. In particular I have been loving Greenberry this month, which is a gorgeous dark mint green/turquoise colour which is perfect for this time of the year. I love how these polishes stay super shiny for ages too!

5) Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub
I am heading away this month so throughout July I have just been prepping my skin for the sun by scrubbing it thoroughly once a week. I find that the Sugar Crush scrub is very grainy and therefore does a good job at making my skin smooth and removing all the dead skin cells. It is also very moisturising on the skin, so does not leave it feeling sore or damaged from the scrubbing. Not to mention that it smells divine, like sugar and lime.

6) Daredevil
As a Marvel lover I was so excited when Netflix announced Daredevil, however I was so busy watching other series I only got round to starting it in July. I am around 7 episodes in and am absolutely loving it. The show is about a blind superhero in Hell's Kitchen, who is also a lawyer - his backstory is also really interesting. If you love action shows then I would really recommend this for you, however it does get very violent, but this is not something that phases me in particular.

7) Teen Wolf
Teen Wolf started back up at the end of June and I have been absolutely hooked onto the show again. If you aren't familiar with the show, it's a fantasy drama surrounding the lives of teenagers who have mythical powers, such as being a werewolf. It sounds like your average girly teen drama, but I really think it would appeal to slightly older people and males too, as there is a lot more action than there is 'girly drama'.

8) MaxiNutrition Dark Chocolate Protein Bar
Recently I have been really pushing myself to go to the gym five times a week at least, whether that be a Zumba or Pilates Class, or just hitting up the gym and doing a bit of cardio and weights. When I find myself doing weights, I like to make sure I am helping my muscles to recover as quickly as possible by adding extra protein into my diet, which is where this bar comes in. I only tend to have half a bar after my workout, and for me this is substantial and I find my muscles not hurting so much the next day, and it also satisfies any sweet cravings I have when I have finished my workout. It really does taste like a chocolate bar, unlike many other protein bars, so I would highly recommend this to anyone who goes to the gym to lift weights in particular.

What have been your favourites this month?
