Do What Makes YOU Happy

So this blog post is going to be nothing like any of my usual ones; meaning no makeup, no clothes, no wishlists and no recipes. I was in the mood to sit down and write a chatty blog post and this has been a topic I have been thinking a lot about lately, and I decided it would be a good idea to combine my chattiness and this topic together. I apologise if it gets a bit preachy, but this is something I am very passionate about.

We live in a world where we are constantly thinking and worrying about other people; what they think of us, how they are feeling, and just generally how to make other people happy. Sometimes you need to take time out from thinking and worrying about other people, and in particular what they think of you, and just do what makes YOU happy. Take time out of your busy work and study schedule and take some time for yourself. You can spend all day working to please other people, but if you take no time to please yourself, it will all be for nothing. As they say, it's about working to live not living to work.

If you want to book a holiday and just lie in the sun for a week - DO IT
If you want to order £50 worth of clothes from ASOS - DO IT.
If you want to order a takeaway - DO IT
If you have the money to do all these things and you want to do them - DO THEM.

Don't think about what other people will say about your decisions. It's your life, and if people are going to say to you "you can barely afford your rent why are you paying for a holiday?", ignore them. If you've saved up enough to pay your rent and go on holiday then why not do it? Why not order that dress you've bookmarked and been eyeing up for the past two months? Other people's opinions do not matter. You are the most important person in your life, and therefore you need to think about you.

Sometimes in life you just have to do things that will make you happy, even if you might regret it in a few days time (aka when you order £50 worth of clothes and realise you don't need any of them), it doesn't matter, because for a while that was something you wanted, and you went for it.

As they say, in life you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did

The Healthiest Brownies

I have the beautiful Carly Rowena to thank for this tasty but healthy recipe! I tweaked her recipe a little due to an ingredient shortage, however I do like how my brownies turned out, and considering they're much healthier than my usual Brownie recipe, I thought I would share!

Ingredients:
1 large can of Red Kidney Beans,

1 tbs of Coconut Oil,
2 Eggs,
1/2 Cup of Cocoa Powder

1/4 Cup of Cacoa Powder

1/4 Cup of Honey
1 tbs Vanilla extract
1 tbs Baking Powder

My Recipe: Chuck everything into a blender (make sure you drain the Kidney Beans before adding them to the blender) and pour the mixture into a lined baking tin to stop the brownie sticking to the tin. Place the mixture into the oven at 180'c for 25 minutes!

I actually drizzled some melted down easter egg over mine as I was trying to eliminate all Easter Chocolate from my house, but if you're trying to keep it super healthy then leave this step out.

All credit to Carly Rowena for this recipe, I am simply sharing it round!

Brows on Fleek?

Lets all just take a moment to realise how late on the bandwagon I am with this one!

Incase you have never stepped foot on instagram or have just been under a rock for the past two or so years, there is a brow product on the market which is just perfect for creating the most fleeky brows you have ever seen. Introducing Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade! It is a creamy gel type formula which creates the sharpest of brows but also can create the most natural looking ones too.

As someone who prefers their brows quite strong, but also quite natural at the front, this product is amazing for me as you can work up the opaqueness of the product. I did find it quite hard to find the right colour as I had to rely heavily on swatches from other bloggers as obviously this is only available online in the UK. I went for the shade Dark brown, and it is actually a perfect match for me.

It has amazing staying power as it has a waterproof formula, making it perfect for those summer holidays we are all dreaming of. Personally I do find it takes a little bit longer to do my brows in the morning with this, but at the same time they do look ten times better so I can't really complain. I got mine from BeautyBay for £15.00! I can tell this is going to last a while so it's definitely worth the price.

Oh p.s. you can finally scratch that eyebrow itch with dipbrow on your brows as it won't budge, kerching (do people still say that...?)!

Stardust Cosmetics Highlighter

Stardust Cosmetics was created by my friend Minisha, and is a range of loose pigment highlighters. I purchased the colour "Jupiter" which is a beautiful colour with pink and purple undertones. I personally love using this as an inner corner highlight on my eyes as well as a usual highlight.

The colour pay-off is insane as it is made from raw Mica pigment, and as it's not pressed you get a load of product in the little tub. It gives such a lovely, dewy glow to the skin! I have swatched it next to MAC Soft & Gentle just so you can see how incredibly pigmented it is!

Jupiter is on the left

They are available for purchase through Minisha's instagram account over at @StardustCosmetics, and I really cannot recommend it enough!

MAC Stone

Who knew MAC Taupe could be topped as my all time favourite lipstick?! Well, looks like it has been well and truly trumped by this grungey beauty.

Stone had been on my MAC Wishlist for so long, and I am so glad I finally have it in my hands. It is such an interesting colour and unlike anything you would find on the high street in terms of its shade and pigmentation. For a Matte finish it is fairly moisturising and I don't find that it clings to the dry patches on my lips unlike some other MAC Matte finishes like Lady Danger.

Paired with a dark eye I really love this lipstick and it somehow looks effortless. I am so tempted to buy the matching lip liner, but the staying power of this colour is actually pretty decent I don't know if I really need it!
